Ritchie Farrell is an author, filmmaker, WGA screenwriter, and motivational speaker. His documentary, High on Crack Street, aired on HBO and received Columbia University’s du-Pont Award for excellence. The Academy Award winning film “The Fighter” is based on High on Crack Street, and was released in 2011 starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Farrell, playing himself.
Farrell’s Amazon best-selling memoir “What’s Left of Us” has been optioned for a motion picture, which is expected to begin filming in early 2017.
Ritchie is currently working on several screenplays and television pilots, and is filming a new documentary about America’s heroin epidemic. He is also a Huffington Post Blogger, with his writing being read by over 5 million people worldwide.
Ritchie continues to travel around the world talking to groups or individuals dealing with addiction.
